Style Inspiration: American-Fashion Designer Cynthia Rowley
2018 is the year to be inspired. That being said, I wanted to start fashion blogging again…so here you go, my first blog of the year. Recap: Last year, I spent most of my time at the dog park and snuggling my bonded pair of rescue dog-children, Buggie & Munchie (pics to come later). I also started a dog Instagram account, and then thought to myself, "what am I doing with my life?" I need to refocus my energy into my other love (besides little doggies), style. So I guess you could say that I’m following through with my new years resolution.
One of my favorite American clothing designers is Cynthia Rowley. Each piece of clothing of hers is like a brilliant work of art. Which would make total sense because she was a painter and studied at the Chicago Art Institute (CynthiaRowley.com). Fun fact: I read that she was discovered on the Chicago subway. Talk about being at the right place at the right time.
What’s to love? You might ask. Her vast use of vibrant colorways and patterns that inspire me, mostly to shop, but whatever, I’m still inspired none-the-less. The New York Times described her line as “flirty, vibrantly colored dresses and tops in wispy materials”. I want each and every single piece (not joking). I don’t know how to surf but I want the fun-patterned wetsuits. Well, at least you would look good while learning to surf.
